Values, Responsibility and Ethics
We understand these concepts as practices rather than as objects, with our work contributing to the emerging field of valuation studies as well as to understanding practices of responsibility around the widely-circulating notion of Responsible Research and Innovation. We ask how value is generated in research and beyond, when, where and by what processes practices, objects and knowledge gain value, how such valuation and justification practices matter in making choices, and what ethics comes to mean in situated practices.
